Mindy Liming, our manager in Toledo, began her framing career in a frame shop at Adrian College where she earned her BFA in painting. She has been a part of our Frames Unlimited family for over 6 years, first as an associate at the old Westgate location and also in Sylvania. Shortly after our move to Monroe Street (3 years ago), Mindy took the management position where she shines . . . and no wonder as you'll see what she had to share recently.
What's your favorite thing about your job? "All my returning customers - building lasting relationships while getting to know them as they return with photos of kids, families, weddings, hearing the updates in their lives and then finding a creative way to showcase these treasures. We have many very talented artisits too, and I love to see how their work progresses over time. Every person that comes in the door brings something different. I love the variety, the stories behind each piece, and the challenge that comes from every unique design session."
"I enjoy working for Frames Unlimited because of the attitude towards customer service. I'm proud to work for a company that is willing to go out of the way to meet a customer's need. Good customer service is unfortunately hard to find these days. Everyone at Frames Unlimited has an attitude that if there is any way it CAN be done, we'll find a way to do it."
About her free time, Mindy is every bit as passionate. "Friends and family will tell you that they always know where to find me - I'm either at work or I'm painting. I spend the majority of my free time freelancing oil paintings of dogs. I began my painting career as an illustrator but learned early that there is definately a market for dog portraits. Being a dog lover myself, this became a perfect fit for me! There is nothing else I would rather paint than dogs. They wear their emotion in their eyes and each furry face is unique." (Though dogs aren't all Mindy paints.)
"When I'm not at work, I spend as much time as I can with my wonderful husband Matt and our furry little family. We have two pugs, Penny Lane and Stella and a tuxedo cat named Gracie. I enjoy spoiling them rotten! I also enjoy relaxing with friends and family, playing Wii, Redwings hockey, shopping, reading, and learning to cook." |
